How to get involved
in the Partnership

At the Cleaner Air Partnership, we think a little cooperation can go a long way when it comes to preserving the air quality that’s so crucial for the Sacramento region’s future.

For two decades our unique nonprofit alliance between the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails and now Valley Vision has worked to help the six-county Sacramento region meet clean air standards that protect health and promote economic growth.

We need your help, input and expertise to continue clean-air action such as:

  • Enhanced Smog Check in the Bay Area, which helps reduce its air quality burden here;

  • Funding for heavy-duty vehicle retrofits, and;

  • Widespread public education to change personal habits.

The results are good for business and for public health. And getting involved means direct benefits to your organization or business:

  • Visibility: Associate your organization or business with the clean air message through your support. Demonstrate your public concern and leadership about regional issues, health and the environment;

  • Relationship building:  Gain expanded networking opportunities with regulators, business, health and environmental leaders through invitations to attend Partnership meetings and activities;

  • Context:  Achieve a better understanding of the “inside story” behind air quality affairs and the rationale behind local regulatory and political activities. Gain invaluable context and guidance for your own external affairs activities through informative meetings and the quarterly Cleaner Air Partnership newsletter;

  • Voice:  Get important previews and updates of local regulatory rulemaking activities – and the opportunity to inform decision-makers on their effects;

  • Legislative influence:  Help shape and support legislative activities at the federal, state and local levels that advance an incentive-based clean air agenda.
